Coronavirus Numbers for January 2nd

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,802 positive cases, an increase of 34 over yesterday.  Of those, 97 are currently active.  Clark County has had 51 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 483,007 positive cases (an increase of 1,905 over the previous day) and 4,869 deaths, an increase of 10 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 21,400, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

For our other neighboring counties:

In total, Chippewa has seen 5,923 positive and 65 deaths.

Eau Claire has seen 9,295 positive and 76 deaths,

Jackson has seen 2,376 positive and 18 deaths.

Marathon has seen 12,012 positive and 160 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,595 positive and 14 deaths

And Wood has seen a total of 5,693 positive cases and 48 deaths.
