INNOVATION CENTER GETS FEDERAL HELP

A proposed agribusiness park near Owen is getting a huge shot in the arm from the federal government.On Tuesday, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke announced a $4 million Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant to the city of Owen to help build the Central Wisconsin Agricultural Innovation Center.
Those spearheading the project expect it will create 330 jobs and generate $18 million in private investment.
