NEW AREA CODE NEXT YEAR

Due to the huge increase in the number of cell phones, fax machines, and computer lines, the 715 area code is nearly out of numbers.The Wisconsin Public Service Commission decided last year to add another area code to the region.
Beginning next year, new phone numbers will have the 534 exchange.
The new system will cover the same geographic area. Current customers will keep 715.
