NATURAL RESOURCES BOARD TABLES HUNTING ISSUES

The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board has tabled a revised plan to fight chronic wasting disease in whitetail deer.Meeting in Hayward Wednesday, the board voted 7-0 Thursday to appoint a special committee to review the 5-year plan to make sure it minimizes the area where the always-fatal disease occurs.
The board took no action on a separate proposal to expand the state's November deer hunt from nine to 16 days.
