BRABAZON IN MORE TROUBLE
Friday, August 14th, 2009 -- 1:15 PM
By Matt Lehman, Wisconsin Radio NetworkA state lawmaker's ex-girlfriend finally made it to court Thursday. Lisa Brabazon missed a morning motion hearing but showed up four hours later during initial appearances.
That's where Judge Jill Falstad quashed the warrant.
Brabazon's attorney said she recently moved to Stevens Point and just filed a change of address with court officials.
Brabazon is charged with 15 counts of forgery for stealing $3,000 from Representative Scott Suder in 2007.
She's also charged with four misdemeanor counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.
She maintains that Suder gave her permission to write the checks while the two dated. Suder has denied the claim and said the checks do not contain his signature.
Mansell called the motion hearing to ask Grau how he could subpoena Suder's bank records.
The hearing has been rescheduled for November 20th.
