BOYD MAN KILLED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

A Boyd man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle while lying in the middle of a highway.It happened early Sunday morning on Chippewa County Highway G, near Chippewa Falls.
Deputies say witness found Bourget lying in the middle of the road at around 3:30 a.m. The person drove ahead to get better cell phone coverage and called 9-1-1. By the time he returned, another driver had already hit Bourget.
The driver of the striking vehicle was arrested for drunk driving.
