Wisconsin is not among the states that will compete for more than $5-billion in new education funds.President Barack Obama wants to use the money to overhaul education over the next couple of years.
But, the administration swill not award money to states that bar student performance data from being linked to teacher evaluations.
Wisconsin, California and New York are among a handful of states that have such a prohibition.
