CLARK CO. UNEMPLOYMENT RATE UP

Clark County?s unemployment rate remained in the middle of the pack in June.According to [url=http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/dwd/newsreleases/ui_local_default.pdf]newly released data[/url] form the Department of Workforce Development, the local rate was about 9.2%, up three-tenths of a percent from May?s rate of 8.9%, nearly double last year?s June rate of 4.8%.
Clark County has the 37th highest rate in the state; that?s unchanged from May.
Menominee County holds the dubious distinction of having the worst unemployment rate in Wisconsin at 12.1%; Dane County has the lowest rate, at 5.9%.
