Reported Runaway Located After Traffic Stop in Marshfield

A traffic stop in Marshfield led to the discovery of a reported runaway.

According to the Marshfield Police Department, there was a vehicle found in the parking lot of the Wildwood Park and Zoo after hours.  When the officers checked on the vehicle, they discovered a 14-year-old female that was reported as a runaway from Marathon County.

The girl’s name is not being released at this time, but she has been returned to her parents.  The driver, 22-year-old Francis Rychtik of Wausau, appeared to be under the influence.

He was arrested for OWI and concealing a firearm.  He’s facing charges in Wood County.  Rychtik has previous minor offenses including possession of drug paraphernalia, underage drinking and operating while suspended.
