GRAND AVE. RUN/WALK/BIKE IS BACK

Among the dozens of events planned for Heritage Days this weekend is Saturday?s Memorial Medical Center Grand Avenue Run/Walk and Bike Tour."This is about our sixth year we've been doing this," says Tom Silbernagel, who organizes the event.
Registration for the Bike Tour starts at 3 p.m., with the tour set to begin at 4 p.m.
The kids dash start at 5:30 p.m., and the 1 mile, 5 K and 10 K run/walk begins at 6 p.m.
"We already have a record number of pre-entries. We have over 100 pre-entries. It's just a great event," Silbernagel says.
It?s all about encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
"It's something other than playing pool, or playing cards."
