DEER HUNTING WORKSHOP PLANNED

Applications for a youth deer-hunting workshop and special hunt at Buckhorn State Park located on the Castle Rock Flowage near Necedah are due by July 15.The workshop is open to kids age 12 but not older than 17 by Nov. 7.
The deer-hunt program includes a workshop on Aug. 22 or 23 and a special shotgun-only hunt on Nov. 7 and 9.
Organizers say each student must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old and has five years of hunting experience.
