SIX INJURED IN ACCIDENT NEAR HUMBIRD

At least three of the six people injured in a crash near Humbird Tuesday night remain hospitalized Wednesday; one is listed in critical condition.

The one-vehicle accident happened at around 6 p.m. on Clark County Highway B, just west of highway 12/27 near the Jackson County Line.

The vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Eugene Hertzfeldt of Hixton, failed to negotiate a curve. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Three of the injured were airlifted.

As of Wednesday morning, 20-year-old Victor Simone of Whitehall and 18-year-old Vincent Simone of Hixton had been treated and released from Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. 19-year-old Nicholas Berg of Black River Falls was listed in fair condition.

15-year-old Timothy Arthur of Black River Falls was listed in critical condition at St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield. 18-year-old Marissa Svoboda of Whitehall was listed in serious condition at St. Joseph?s Hospital.

We could not find a condition report for Hertzfeldt.
