Friday, June 12th, 2009 -- 12:04 PM

A website documenting the spending of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act dollars has been updated.

According to a press release from Gov. Jim Doyles office, www.recovery.wisconsin.gov ?promotes accountability and transparency? in the spending of billions of stimulus dollars.

One new feature of the website is an interactive map which allows individuals to view the projects that are currently funded through the ARRA in each county.

According to the site: Clark County households will receive over $9-million in tax relief; nearly 6,000 county residents will receive a $25 increase in their unemployment benefit; and an additional 2,200 low income children and adults will qualify for food stamps.

The site also highlights increased education spending and some infrastructure improvements.

The Village of Curtiss has received $2.3-million for a water and waste disposal program and Dorchester has received $30,000 for community facilities.

Highway projects on CTH O and Ballard Road in the Town of Sherwood have also been approved.
