Experts says regular unleaded will soon cost more than $3 per gallon.The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded today is around $2.80 around Wisconsin.
Motorists in Eagle River are already paying over $3.00 per gallon.
A few months ago, AAA officials thought it would top out at $2.75 a gallon, but the world's supply situation and an improving domestic economy changed the outlook. The summer travel season has also increased demand.
