COOL FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED
Tuesday, May 26th, 2009 -- 1:59 PM
Hundreds of local youth will have to fill out a Country of Origin affidavit before showing at their local county fair this year. The so-called ?COOL? rule was signed into law in March. It?s a USDA rule meant to provide consumers with knowledge of where their food originated.
Clark County 4H Youth Development agent Sara Gronski says all fair exhibitors selling their animals at auction must fill out the fairly simple form, which asks for exhibitor information and the state-given premise ID of the property that the animal was raised.
The form can be found on the county?s 4H website.
