Local Recipients of FFA SAE Grants

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) The Wisconsin FFA Foundation announced that over $31,000 has been awarded to 48 Wisconsin FFA members in Supervised Agricultural Experience program grants.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, SAE programs apply the concepts learned in the agricultural education classroom and the skills developed through FFA membership to individual experiential learning projects.
Programs are classified as placement or entrepreneurship and span a broad range of agricultural careers and businesses. The grants were awarded in five different SAE categories, including: dairy, grain production, livestock, organic agriculture and start-up.
Successful candidates were chosen based on the level and scope of their SAE in accordance with their age, their future goals and plans for the program and financial need.
Some local recipients of the Dairy Grants include Ella Raatz of Colby, Jenna Foemmel of Marshfield, and Bryce Ciolkosz of Thorp. Some local recipients of the Livestock SAE Grant include Jessica Lindow of Marshfield and Joshua Lindow of Marshfield. Some local recipients of the Start-up SAE Grant include Jordan Berg of Granton.
