CLARK CO. SWINE FLU-FREE
Monday, May 4th, 2009 -- 12:26 PM
Deb Miller with the Public Health Department says there were six suspected cases in the county last week, but testing came back negative on all of them.
The H1N1 virus is, so far, proving a bit less potent then originally feared, but it is really impeding schools where it?s found.
The CDC recommends these schools close for up 14 days, because those infected are usually contagious for up to 10 days. Authorities may also choose to quarantine the families of students that attend an infected school.
As of yesterday, the number of confirmed cases in Wisconsin remained at three: two in Milwaukee County and one in Adams County.
