(Wisconsin Radio Network) Wisconsin is rolling out new programs to help identify PFAS contamination across the state.
According to the Wisconsin Radio Network, the DNR says about $133 million from the state’s PFAS trust fund will support sampling and other efforts to better understand where the so-called “forever chemicals” are present and reduce exposure.
Local governments can now apply for grants to test water supplies and biosolids, while private well owners can apply for free sampling through the State Lab of Hygiene. More information is available on the DNR website.
