(Wisconsin Radio Network) A national trend toward drinking less alcohol may be gaining traction in Wisconsin.
According to the Wisconsin Radio Network, more people are taking part in Sober October and exploring alcohol-free lifestyles. University of New Mexico psychology professor Katie Witkiewitz says younger adults are leading the shift, with many rethinking their relationship with alcohol and whether it benefits their lives.
Health experts say even modest reductions in drinking can lead to better sleep, more energy, and improved overall health. Wisconsin remains among the nation’s leaders in binge drinking and alcohol-related deaths.
