South Wood County and North Wood County Park Campgrounds Closing October 31st

The Wood County Parks and Forestry Department would like to give public notice that South Wood County Park and North Wood County Park campgrounds will close for the season on October 31st at noon.

Wood County Cera Park is closed for the season. Dexter County Park campground will remain open until November 30, 2026. The 2nd and 3rd loops will remain open during this time and will be available for camping by reservation only. Dump stations and potable water availability will be weather dependent.

Dexter has a heated shower building that will remain open until closing. The ATV Enclosed Shelter, Nepco Enclosed Shelter, South Park Community Shelter, and the Powers Bluff Welcome Center are available to rent throughout the year. Please visit our reservation website to check availability and reserve for your special event.

We would like to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed camping and other various recreational activities in our parks this season and we hope to see you again next year. As a reminder, camping and shelter reservations can be made one year in advance.
