Coronavirus Numbers for December 28th

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,743 positive cases, an increase of 54 over yesterday.  Of those, 127 are currently active.  Clark County has had 49 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 470,818 positive cases (an increase of 2,287 over the previous day) and 4,692 deaths, an increase of 9 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 20,829, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

For our other neighboring counties:

In total, Chippewa has seen 5,785 positive and 65 deaths.

Eau Claire has seen 9,064 positive and 74 deaths,

Jackson has seen 2,324 positive and 16 deaths.

Marathon has seen 11,675 positive and 153 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,575 positive and 14 deaths

And Wood has seen a total of 5,535 positive cases and 40 deaths.
