(Wisconsin Radio Network) Wisconsin has seen more than 250 measles cases this year.
According to the Wisconsin Radio Network, the majority of confirmed or probable measles cases have been recorded in Lafayette, Iowa and Grant counties. Veron, Marathon and Chippewa counties have also reported cases. According to state health officials, those northern Wisconsin cases are linked to out of state travel and are not related to the cases in southwestern Wisconsin.
Nearly all Wisconsin cases have been in unvaccinated individuals, and public health agencies remind you the best way to prevent measles is to get vaccinated with the MMR vaccine.
