Marshfield Fire & Rescue remained busy throughout September, responding to 319 total calls for service, including 25 fire responses and 294 EMS responses.
That equals an average of 10.6 calls per day. The busiest days of the month were September 10, 15, 21, and 30, when crews handled 15 calls, followed by 14 calls on September 4 and 13 calls on September 1, 8, and 29.
In addition to emergency response, the department completed 68 fire inspections and logged 870.3 hours of training during the month. Fire response types included non-emergency calls, EMS assists, hazardous situations, fires, rescues, and public service calls.
