A major area employer and a local union have reached a three-year deal just days before a strike was set to begin.A union representing around 450 Marshfield DoorSystems workers accepted the latest company offer Wednesday afternoon.
The latest agreement was reached after union workers picketed a job fair aimed at finding replacement workers over the weekend.
The union won additional clarifications regarding mandatory overtime and prevented a shift in their dental coverage.
The company makes wooden doors and door components.
