Wisconsin's Egg Production for November

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Wisconsin egg production during November was 188 million eggs, down three percent from the same time a year earlier, and two percent less than last month.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the USDA's latest Chickens and Eggs report stated the average number of all layers on hand was 7.91 million, up two percent from the previous year.
Eggs per 100 layers for November were 2,375, down four percent for the year, and three percent less for the month. Nationally, egg production totaled 9.32 billion during November, about two percent lower than last year.
The average number of layers totaled 389 million. Egg production per 100 layers was 2,396 eggs, up slightly from the previous year. Total layers in the United States on December 1 totaled 390 million, down three percent from 2019 levels.
