MFLD DOOR, UNION REACH NEW AGREEMENT
Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 -- 11:10 AM
A local union will vote on a new labor agreement Wednesday.Facing a possible strike on Friday, Marshfield DoorSystems officials went back to the table with the Union Sunday and hammered out a new tentative labor agreement that includes additional limitations on mandatory overtime.
Union officials filed unfair labor practice charges last week with the National Labor Relations Board. They claimed the company had intimidated workers and had not bargained in good faith.
The union represents about 450 workers. They've been without a contract since April 1.
