Neillsville School Board Approves Door Lock Replacements and More at Monday Meeting

The Neillsville School Board approved a quote for door lock replacements at their meeting on Monday.

According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the Board approved the quote for LaForce for door lock core replacements and key cuts. District Administrator Corey Peterson provided a progress report on the implementation of the District’s strategic plan.

The Board approved the addition of middle school baseball to the athletics program, approved the football co-op with the Granton School District for the 2028-2029 and 2029-2030 school years, and approved the Spirit Club application. In Employment matters, the Board approved the resignation of Kendra Friemoth from her special education teaching position.

They also approved the hiring of Ashley Charneski as a teaching assistant, Lori Emerson as a teaching assistant, Makendri Hericks as a teaching assistant, Marlene Luther as a teaching assistant, Noah Billerbeck as a custodian, Brian Klinge as a bus driver, Morgan Spencer as an Administrative Assistant, Kendra Friemoth for the high school counselor position, Paul Ziebell for the fall weight room supervisor, and Olyvia Pierce for the forensics advisor position.

The Board also approved the Memorandum of Understanding for Kendra Friemoth, the Memorandum of Understanding for Jessica Scheider, and the Memorandum of Understanding for Kelsey Klein.

• And upcoming events and dates.

High School Principal Jennifer Aspenson reported on:

• Enrollment;

• Student activities;
• And homecoming.

Transportation Director Adam Krause reported on:

• The open house;
• Two new bus drivers;
• Coverage of extra trips;
• Mechanic update;
• Bus garage tour;
• Seeking quotes for diagnostic tool and routing software;
• Establishing lines of communication with townships for road updates;
• And working on vendors for winter fuel blend.

Director of Buildings and Grounds Mark Spencer reported on:

• Concrete repairs;
• Football field fencing has been completed;
• Roofing project completed;
• Pool repairs are completed;
• High school boiler repairs are scheduled;
• And preparations for spring sports.

Mr. Peterson reported on:
