Celebrate 80 Years of the Marshfield Area Untied Way

The story of Marshfield Area United Way has never been about the organization.

It is the story of a community that comes together when challenges arise, a community that always steps up to help their neighbors. It is the story of lives changed through the kindness of others.

In 1946, 45 Marshfield citizens came together with a shared purpose: to identify community needs and support local health and human service programs that improve lives. Eighty years later the organization and generations of friends and neighbors are still committed to this legacy, strengthening United Way’s role as the central, trusted nonprofit organization serving Marshfield and the surrounding communities.

For 80 years, the community has shown what it looks like when neighbors care for neighbors. It's a warm meal delivered to an older adult, allowing them to continue living independently at home.

A listening ear for a child who's struggling. A bridge through a troubled time that allows a family to stay safely housed. Nutritious food to ensure a child has consistent access to healthy food.

The story of the community and the work of Marshfield Area United Way is the story of these small moments that add up to something big. Their work has strengthened countless lives and has helped to shape the community with kindness and compassion.
