City of Marshfield Accepting Applications to Fill a Vacancy on the Business Improvement District Board

The City of Marshfield is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Business Improvement District (BID) Board.

The appointment will fill an unexpired term ending in April 2029. The Business Improvement District was established to support the Main Street program and encourage continued investment within the district.

The BID is funded through assessments on properties located within the district. The seven-member BID Board oversees implementation of the district’s operating plan, prepares annual reports, and reviews them each year.

The Board may recommend proposed changes to the Common Council. Board members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Common Council. A majority of Board members must own or occupy commercial or service-oriented real estate within the Business Improvement District.

One member of the Board also serves as a representative of the Common Council. Individuals interested in serving on the BID Board should submit an application by Thursday, October 8, 2026. Meeting times and locations are determined as meetings are scheduled.
