The Highground Veterans Memorial Hosting Holocaust Exhibits

Learn about the children, heroes & personal stories which document the rise of the Nazi Party and the horrors of the Holocaust with several exhibits from multiple Holocaust Education Centers at The Highground.
Displays within this large exhibition:
- “The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising” and “Out of Chaos” (personal stories of children hidden in forests and towns) – from the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, “The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and Out of Chaos: Hidden Children Remember the Holocaust” are curated and circulated by the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center.
- “The Righteous Among the Nations” – (heroes who helped the persecuted) and “Courage to Remember” – (premiere Holocaust exhibit created by survivor Simon Weisenthal) – from the Holocaust Education Center - Champaign Urbana Jewish Federation – cujf.org/hec
- “From the Children, About the Children, For the Children – Art and Writing of the Holocaust” – (art & writing created by children during the Holocaust, most of whom were killed in Auschwitz concentration camp) – from The Institute for Holocaust Education - Omaha, NE – ihene.org
