Community members, civic leaders, business representatives, and Aspirus Health leaders gathered Thursday to celebrate the official opening of the new Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic during a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house at the facility located at 1326 Chippewa Crossing Blvd.

The celebration highlighted Aspirus Health’s investment in expanding local access to health care services and its commitment to serving patients and families throughout Chippewa Falls and the surrounding region.

Following the ceremony, hundreds of community members toured the new facility, met clinicians and staff, and learned more about the services that will be available when patient care begins on Tuesday, September 22.

“This facility reflects our commitment to listening to the needs of local communities and responding with excellent care that is accessible, compassionate and built around the people we serve,” said Matt Heywood, President and CEO of Aspirus Health. “At Aspirus, our mission is to heal people, promote health and strengthen communities. This new hospital and clinic bring that mission to life in a very meaningful way for Chippewa Falls and the surrounding area.”

During the ceremony, leaders emphasized the importance of rural health care and the role the new facility will play in strengthening access to care close to home. Speakers also recognized the many team members, community partners, elected officials, and supporters whose collaboration helped bring the project from concept to reality.

The new facility combines hospital and clinic services in one convenient location and is designed to support patients with coordinated, patient-centered care. Services include emergency care, inpatient hospital care, primary care, imaging services, laboratory services, and an on-site inpatient pharmacy.

“This is an exciting milestone not only for Aspirus, but for Chippewa Falls and the many patients and families who will benefit from expanded access to care close to home,” said Jason Troxell, President of Aspirus Health’s Wisconsin Northwest Division.

“We heard clearly from the community that they wanted more local health care options. This hospital and clinic are a direct response to those needs and represent our long-term commitment to supporting healthy, thriving communities throughout the Chippewa Valley.”

The event also featured remarks from community leaders, including representatives from the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Chippewa Falls, who spoke about the positive impact expanded health care access will have on local residents, employers, and the region’s continued growth.

Clinicians who will provide care at the facility shared how the new hospital and clinic will support a high-quality patient experience in a welcoming and modern environment.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony culminated in a community celebration that showcased the facility and marked the beginning of a new chapter in health care for Chippewa Falls and the surrounding communities.
