Marshfield Fire Department Responds to House Fire Wednesday Afternoon

On Wednesday, September 16th, just after 6pm, the Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department responded to a house fire on 1723 S. Lincoln.
Upon arrival MFRD members were met with heavy smoke and fire showing from three sides of a 1.5 story wood framed residential home. All family members were out of the house on arrival. MFRD made an aggressive attack using both 2.5” and 1.75” hose lines to fight the fire. Numerous area fire departments were called to the scene for mutual aid.
The fire caused heavy damage to the attached garage and home. In addition, fire caused heavy damage to two vehicles inside the garage as well as one parked on the driveway. One firefighter was transported to Marshfield Medical Center for dehydration.
