Light Snow Today & A Bigger Storm By Mid-Week

Sunday, December 27th, 2020 -- 11:36 AM

From the National Weather Service in LaCrosse

Light snow will develop across the area today. Expect the bulk of accumulation to fall across portions of southwest and central Wisconsin where a steadier band of snow will develop.  Across these areas expect snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches with localized amounts of 4 inches possible.

A winter storm is taking aim at the region for Tuesday into Wednesday and could bring a mixed bag of winter weather. With uncertainty on the storm track (along with timing), what falls where and how much are unclear. That said, the storm could be quite impactful with several inches of snow and some ice accumulations possible. Travel would be impacted - so start planning ahead if you have travel plans during this time. Altering, delaying or even cancelling travel may become necessary. Keep up on the latest forecasts for refinements to what is expected.
