Five Thorp High School Choir Members Selected to Perform with Wisconsin Senior All Stars of Music on European Tour

Five Thorp High School Choir members have been selected to perform with the Wisconsin Senior All Stars of Music on their European performance tour! 

The Thorp students are Kaylie S., Abigail Z., Mackenzie F., Keira C., and Azaria S. The students were nominated by Mrs. Corcoran to sing with this European performance tour in the summer of 2027, as they have demonstrated the talent, hard work, and character for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

In July 2027, the Wisconsin All-Stars Band, Choir, and Orchestra will embark on a performance tour to France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom. This unique musical experience will bring together outstanding student musicians from across Wisconsin to showcase their musicianship in some of the most beautiful and culturally rich places in the world.

Trip highlights include touring the birthplace of Mozart and sites related to The Sound of Music in Salzburg, visiting Mount Pilatus in the Swiss Alps near Lucerne, seeing the Eiffel Tower in Paris, as well as performing concerts in historic European churches and cathedrals.

The Wisconsin All-Stars Choir will be under the direction of Dr. Jenny Hutton, Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education at UW Milwaukee. To help offset trip costs, the Thorp All-Star students will participate in several fundraisers throughout the school year.
