Marshfield Police Depart Releases Sex Offender Notification: Jacob Stanley

The Marshfield Police Department has released a sex offender release notification.

Jacob A. Stanley was convicted of one count of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Cause Child to View/Listen to Sexual Activity in 2014 and one count of 4th Degree Sexual Assault and one count of Contributing to Truancy in 2013.

Upon release from prison, Jacob will be living at 201 W. Depot St, Marshfield, WI. He will be placed on supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC), and monitored by Sex Offender Agent Specialists with the Division of Community Corrections, in Marshfield.

Jacob is subject to lifetime GPS monitoring. Jacob has additional conditions, including but not limited to; no unsupervised contact with minors; no contact with victim, not to consume drugs, comply with standard sex offender rules, cooperate with electronic monitoring, and comply with all requirements and lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry.

Jacob's current address, and any change of address, will be updated and available online by accessing the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry at www.widocoffenders.org.

Sex offenders have always lived in our communities; but it was not until the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community.

The Marshfield Police Department is releasing this information pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender's release/residence when, with the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, protection and awareness.
