Riley: "Last time we spoke, it was just before Hub City Days. How did it go?"

Carter: "Thanks for asking. We had a great event with really good turnout with people. We're estimating we had about 10,000 people in downtown."

"We're going to get some specific numbers from some of our friends at the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation here shortly."

"So, we're looking forward to having some of those specifics for you guys, but yeah, great event. We raised so much money for a variety of causes."

"Rodney over at Feltz Tire was wonderful to work with and helped us with the car show. So, a huge shout out to their team because it went wonderfully."

"We had over 500 cars this year up and down Main Street. They stretch from veterans all the way down to Ninth Street, kind of by Nutz."

"So, it was a really good turnout. We had beautiful weather and we raised a good amount of money for our programming. So, we're looking forward to putting that to good use next year."

Riley: "What else is going on? What have you been up to?"

Carter: "Absolutely. So, we have a couple things coming up in terms of events. This weekend, we have a block party on Fifth Street."

"Our wonderful friends over at the Locker Room on Fifth and Central are hosting a block party and we are the beneficiary for that."

"So, we're going to have a raffle. If people are interested in winning a grill and a cooler, we'll have a raffle that supports our new endowment fund, the Downtown Marshfield Community Fund."

"It's an endowment fund we've established at the Marshfield Area Community Foundation, and it will support some of our programming efforts for years to come."

"And then, in addition to that, we have, on October 24th, we have our Fall Beer Insider Walk, which is where you'll you'll be able to sample 20 different beers and check out a bunch of our downtown businesses. They'll be open with lots of sales and promotions, and also a great great excuse to try some new beers.

Riley: "Anything else?"

Carter: "Yeah, absolutely. So, we're right around August, if you can believe it. We start thinking about next year and our programming."

"So, we are working with the city of Marshfield to spin our operating plan, making sure that all our ducks are in a row, getting set for next year's programming."

Riley: "And if people want to learn more about the organization, where's a good place for them to go and do that?"

Carter: "Absolutely, you can visit us online at mainstreammarshfield.com. Facebook is also a good follow. You can follow our Facebook page."

We post our updates on there and then also come come by our office in person. We're in Uptown Coffee and the Vault. Our office is right there, so it's it's easy for people to come visit me."

"And it's really dangerous for me because I'm overly caffeinated all the time. But I have my my office doors open when I'm here, and people are welcome to come in and say hi."
