Central Wisconsin State Fair: Tuesday's Activities

The Central Wisconsin State Fair is underway.

Daily gate passes are $10 for adults 13 and older, $5 for children 5-12, and children 4 and under are free. They have season gate passes for $37 for adults, $17 for children 5-12, and free for children 4 & under.

Today is a special admission day as well. Tuesday, August 25th is Junior Fair Day. Adults 13 and older are $5 and children 12 and under are free. Tuesday is also Can-Do Fair Day. Bring 2 non-perishable, non-expired food items to the gate and receive free admission to the fair.

They also have a lunch special on Tuesday from 11:30am-1:30pm. You can get free gate admission for that special, but you need to enter and exit through gate D. Season gate passes and grandstand tickets can be purchased in the fair office or on their website (https://www.centralwisconsinstatefair.com/). Daily gate passes can be purchased at the gate the day you arrive.

For family entertainment, the Trivia Tractor will be available all day. Vendors will be open from 11am-9pm. The Hand-Picked Bluegrass Band will perform from 2pm-5pm. The Wheels of Agriculture Show will be happening from 3pm-3:30pm.

The Pleasure Valley Pig & Duck races will happen from 4pm-4:30pm. The Wheels of Agriculture Show will happen again from 5pm-5:30pm and Dominguez Attractions will happen from 5:30pm-6pm.

The Pleasure Valley Pig & Duck races will happen again from 6pm-6:30pm. The Dress-An-Animal contest is at 7pm. The Wheels of Agriculture Show happens again from 7pm-7:30pm and Dominguez Attractions will happen from 7:30pm-8pm.

Finally, for grandstand entertainment, they have Casey Muessigman at 8pm on Tuesday the 25th. This is free with gate admission. They have some fun events happening in the Lang Information Center.

They have the USA History Trivia Contest happening from 11am-3pm daily, Wednesday through Sunday. All daily correct answers will get you entered into a $250 cash drawing. On Tuesday, August 25th from 10am-6pm, they have the Ugly Weed Contest.

They also have a long list of Junior Fair exhibits, projects, and events happening during the fair as well as the Open Class events. Entries were accepted Monday with some judging taking place.

For Junior class today, swine judging is at 8am, beef judging, poultry judging, cultural arts, food, and nutrition judging, photography, and horse hippology is all happening at 9am.

Dairy Fitters special, meat goat judging, and sheep judging is happening at 1pm. The Dairy Fitting special is at 2pm, Gymkhana at 5pm, and Best Dressed Dairy contest at 6:30pm.

In Open Class, non-animal entries were accepted Monday and flower judging took place at 6:30pm. They have poultry judging at 9am as well as foods and nutrition, photography, woodworking, senior woodworking, and plant and soil judging
