Neillsville Police Department Arrests One After Inspection of Tavern on Highway 10

On Thursday, August 13, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Neillsville Police Department was assisting the Wisconsin Department of Revenue – Division of Alcohol Beverages and the Clark County Health Department with an inspection at RW’s Place Tavern, W11991 U.S. Highway 10, Town of Mentor, Clark County.

During the inspection, officers observed suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in plain view. Officers detained a resident of the property, Robert A. Wilkinson, 58, while continuing their investigation.

Based upon observations made during the inspection and information developed during the subsequent investigation, Neillsville Police officers applied for and obtained a search warrant for the property.

The search warrant was executed and resulted in the seizure of:

  • Approximately 29.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • Approximately 137.3 grams of suspected marijuana
  • 11 firearms
  • Prescription medications
  • A substantial amount of drug paraphernalia

Officers arrested Wilkinson and transported him to the Clark County Jail, where the Wisconsin Department of Corrections held him on probation.

The Neillsville Police Department has referred the following charges to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for consideration:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver
  • Possession of THC with Intent to Deliver
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of an Illegally Obtained Prescription
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place
  • Repeat Offender Enhancers

The investigation remains ongoing. The Neillsville Police Department was assisted during this investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue – Division of Alcohol Beverages, Clark County Health Department, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, and Wisconsin Department of Corrections – Division of Community Corrections.
