(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Marshfield man accused of multiple felony counts for repeated sexual assault of a child is expected to reach a plea deal with the state, avoiding a jury trial.
Accoring to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Kurtis Holman was facing more than 100 years in prison, including two high-level felonies for repeated sexual assault and first-degree sexual assault. Investigators say he forced himself on the victim multiple times starting in 2018.
The case had been scheduled for trial beginning August 25th. That date is now reserved for a plea hearing. Charges against the 37-year-old were filed in early 2024. He has been free on a $10,000 bond.
