Moody’s Reaffirms City of Marshfield’s Aa3 Bond Rating
Tuesday, August 18th, 2026 -- 11:00 AM
Moody’s has reaffirmed the City of Marshfield’s Aa3 bond rating, which the City has maintained for the past three years.
The strong rating reflects the City’s overall financial condition and helps attract bidders when the City issues General Obligation bonds, allowing the City to secure more favorable interest rates.
City Administrator Steve Barg credited Finance Director Jennifer Selenski and current and past elected officials for their work and support of fiscally responsible decisions. The continued Aa3 rating, along with the City’s latest financial audit, provides another positive indicator of the City’s financial position.
