Grand Opening of Forward Fun Zone at Griese Park in Marshfield on August 18th

After months of dreaming, planning, fundraising, volunteering, and hard work, the day has finally arrived.

Come celebrate the Grand Opening of the Forward Fun Zone at Griese Park in Marshfield and officially dedicate this incredible playground to the City of Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department.

The event is being held on Tuesday, August 18th from 5pm-8pm at the Forward Fun Zone in Griese Park. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be hosted by MACCI. There will be a live DJ, food and beverage trucks, and playground fun for all ages.

It will be a wonderful community celebration. This project began with four volunteers from Leadership Marshfield Class of 2025 who believed the community deserved an all-inclusive destination where children of all abilities could play, explore, imagine, and make lifelong memories together.

Thanks to the generosity of countless businesses, organizations, donors, volunteers, contractors, and community members, that vision has become a reality. During the event, they will recognize and thank the many individuals and businesses whose support helped make Forward Fun Zone possible.

This playground truly belongs to the community. Please consider bringing a donation for the Marshfield Area United Way Nutrition on Weekends (NOW) Program.

• Jelly

Your donation will help ensure local children have access to nutritious food on weekends throughout the school year. Bring a picnic blanket, your family, your friends, and your community spirit as they celebrate a place where kids can enjoy the outdoors, stay active and healthy, play with friends, take a break from screens, build confidence and connections, and create memories for years to come.
