UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield’s Youth Annual Summer Theatre Production August 13th-15th

UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield presents “Disney’s Descendants: The Musical” August 13-14 at 7 p.m. and August 15 at 2 p.m.

Based on the hit Disney Channel movies, “Disney’s Descendants: The Musical” is a stage adaptation filled with popular songs, comedy, and adventure. Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost, home of the most infamous villains who ever lived, the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now.

When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?

Under the direction of Donna Thompson, this is UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield’s 19th annual youth summer theatre production. The cast and crew consist of fifty talented Central Wisconsin youth ages 11-18.

“Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a high-energy adventure the whole family will enjoy,” said director Donna Thompson. “It brings together some of Disney’s most beloved heroes and villains while introducing audiences to the next generation of iconic characters.”

The performances take place in the Helen Connor Laird Theatre at UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at tickets.uwsp.edu or at the campus box office starting an hour prior to the show pending availability.
