Thorp FCCLA Members Attend National Leadership Conference in Washington DC

Thirteen members of the Thorp FCCLA chapter recently returned from the National Leadership Conference in Washington DC.

While there, they were able to attend leadership breakout sessions, meet and connect with students from all over the United States, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa, volunteer, tour the monuments, memorials, and Smithsonians, attend a Washington Nationals baseball game,  and compete in their STAR projects.

In their competition, all the students did very well:

• Hailey O. competed in Sports Nutrition and received a gold. She also placed in the Top ten in the nation!
• Adalynn F. competed in Sports Nutrition and received a gold.
• Andrew A. competed in Food Innovation and received a silver.
• Colin W. competed in Career Investigation and received a silver.
• Danika G. and Taneysa D. competed in Repurpose and Redesign and received a silver.
• Elise C., Misaina R., and Carli P. competed in Nutrition and Wellness and received a silver.
