ER Pediatric Waiting Area at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield Has New Book Vending Machine

The ER pediatric waiting area at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield officially has a new book vending machine.

When families get checked in, children receive a token and can choose a free book to take home, helping make wait times more comfortable and increasing access to age-appropriate literacy resources.

This project was supported through the local Altrusa International chapter who graciously donated the machine, as well as working with Colby Library's Friends of the Library group to collect over 600 books for the machine.

Since launching just a couple of weeks ago, the machine has already distributed nearly 100 books to pediatric patients and families.
