Members of Clark County Fairest of the Fair Court Discuss Their Time on the Court
Tuesday, July 7th, 2026 -- 11:00 AM
The Clark County Fair is right around the corner and, soon, a new Fairest of the Fair court will be crowned.
I had an opportunity to talk with two members of the current Fairest of the Fair Court, Jordan Berg, Fairest of the Fair, and Madison Stieglitz, 1st Attendant, and they discussed how their year has been and what’s coming to this year’s Fair.
Listen to the interview with Jordan and Madison here!
This year’s Fairest of the Fair coronation is being held Wednesday, August 7th at 7pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds.

Jordan: "So this year has been absolutely fantastic. It's been so great to be going around the county and promoting our fair, but also all of our communities. We've spent a lot of time going to community and county parades, which we're going to be going to even more come the rest of the summer, since now it's parade season."
"Lots of Christmas parades, we did. We really worked on doing a lot of volunteering and other service work throughout the county as well this year, whether that was with the Mama G's kids shopping for their families event or it was helping out at the Autumn Harvest in Neillsville, whatever it was that we could do to just give back to our community, but also continue to promote it and promote the fair."
"Ee had a really busy June dairy month with dairy breakfasts every single weekend, so it has been a really great time, and it's been so much fun for the grapevous to get to promote our community through all these different things."
Madison: "In the beginning, it was a little slower since we got crowned right after like peak parade season, but we were able to go to lots of different community events, like Jordan stated already, whether that was some parades last fall and then going to all the Christmas parades."
"When we wanted to stay as active as possible with less parades, so, like Jordan said, we did a lot of community service events and then doing a whole bunch of June Dairy Month this last June, just going to dairy breakfast and promoting agriculture."
Riley: "In about a month, it's going to be the Clark County Fair, and we'll be crowning a new Fairest of the Fair and a new court. Can you give us just some details about about that event, when it is, where it is, in case people want to attend?"
Jordan: "So, Wednesday, August 5th is our Fairest of the Fair coronation at 7o'clock in the Dairy Barn Dairy Show Arena at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Neillsville. We will be hosting a Queen's tea for any area royalty that wants to attend at 6o'clock that evening."
"But at 7o'clock is when our coronation is going to start. We'll be able to hear from our candidates, hear from our past court, and then be able to crown our brand new Fairs to the Fair for the upcoming year."
Riley: " If there are individuals out there who are maybe thinking about running for Fairest of the Fair, or even maybe just running for their local, you know, Miss Neilsville, Miss Greenwood, Miss Loyal, whatever type pageant. Why should they do that? Why do you think it's a good idea for someone to get involved in something like this?"
Madison: "I would say it's super important to get involved, just because you get to connect with your community. That was the biggest thing for me, whether it was with Miss Greenwood or the Clark County Fairest of the Fair, I was able to give back to my community, which gave back so much to me."
"So, this is an opportunity for you to represent your community and go around to different areas in parades or different events and just be able to promote what your community does, what your like festival does, or what the fair does, and why people should attend it, and what makes it really special."
"So, it was a really rewarding thing for me, and even though it can be very, you can be kind of scared looking at it, but at the end of the day, just do it, and you will feel so...like it's just such a rewarding process."
Jordan: "I completely agree with Madison on everything she said, plus the fact that Fairest, for me, Faries of the Fair was my first true agricultural advocacy position, because I was Granton Fall Festival Queen before, and this was my opportunity to promote my community and to be really involved in it and make those connections and then I could carry those over into Fariest of the Fair this year."
"And then still be able to promote agriculture, which is something I'm very, very passionate about. And so, having that opportunity combined with everything Madison said has made this the most rewarding experience yet."
Riley: "Anything else?"
Jordan: "We have a lot going on at the fair this year. We've got everything from our green space tent that's coming back for youth in the area, our truck pull, pedal pulls, kids rodeo, as well as a concert Saturday night with Dan Leap and Six to Midnight. We've got a lot going on this year at the Clark County Fair, and we really hope to see everyone there."
Riley: " And now, if people wanted to just learn more about the Fairest of the Fair, where would be a good place for them to go to do that, or who should they get in touch with in order to learn more?
Madison: "So, we do have a Facebook page that they can follow, and then there's tons of links on there. Parents of daughters who want to run for Future Fairest, that link is still on there, so all the information should be on our Facebook page."
