Jackson County Homeowner Voluntarily Surrenders 38 Dogs After Welfare Check

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Jackson County Humane Officer conducted an animal welfare check in the township of Adams, according to WEAU staff.
According to a press release, on Monday, June 29, the owner voluntarily surrendered 38 dogs which were transported from the property. The Monroe County Animal Shelter, Trempealeau County Animal Shelter, Coulee Region Humane Society and Hoping Fur a Home Rescue have provided support by accepting some of the dogs.
Northwood Vet Service has also been assisting with veterinary care for the dogs. The Jackson County Animal Shelter and other assisting facilities are accepting donations to help with this high-need event. This case remains under investigation.
