UNEMPLOYMENT UP IN STATE, COUNTY

Unemployment rates were up last month in 71 of Wisconsin's 72 counties.Kewaunee County's rate remained unchanged.
The state Department of Workforce Development said Wednesday unemployment reached double digits in 12 Wisconsin cities in February.
The hardest-hit city was Beloit at 16.9% unemployment.
Dane County had the lowest unemployment rate at 5.5%. Unemployment statewide was 8.8%.
Clark County?s unemployment rate climbed 6-tenths of a percent from 10.1% in January to 10.7% in February.
That?s up almost 4% from February of 2008.
The county has the 22nd highest unemployment rate in the state.
