PSC: HOW'S YOUR BROADBAND?
Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 -- 12:06 PM
State utility regulators are seeking public input on the needs for broadband service in areas of Wisconsin where it's not adequate for Internet and other communication needs. The Public Service Commission is asking that people complete a Broadband Customer Survey available on its Web site, http://psc.wi.gov.
The results will be used to identify where the needs are greatest.
The PSC noted that the recently enacted federal stimulus package included up to $7.2 billion for broadband improvement loans and grants.
Federal officials are expected to ask the states later this year where there are needs for broadband that could be met through use of the federal aid.
