Thorp FFA Students Attend State Convention

Last week, the Thorp FFA Chapter sent 17 of its members to the 2026 State FFA convention at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

Brent Abramczak won first place for his Proficiency in Ag Mechanics fabrication and design. Brent will be heading to the FFA National competition. He also received his state FFA degree, competed in the state FFA Prepared Speaking Contest, and was chosen as the 3 star leader of our chapter.

Keira Corcoran competed in the state FFA Creed Contest. Representing Section 7 in the Conduct of Chapter Meetings at the state level were Tenley Haas, Keira Corcoran, Kalli Kroeplin, Avery Kroeplin, Peyton Petke, Isla Brady and Emilia Mae.

Also representing Section 7 at the state level was the Thorp FFA quiz bowl team which included Colin Wright, Greta Ciolkosz and Tenley Haas. Missing from that team were Adalyn Foster and Mackenzie Rosemeyer. Elliot Cox competed in the state FFA talent show and took third place overall. The students had a great time at the State FFA convention.

They had the opportunity to listen to great keynote speakers like Temple Grandin, tour businesses in agriculture like Potters Crackers, along with participating in several leadership and career development workshops.
