Strong Storms Move Through West Central Wisconsin Friday Evening

A storm system moved through west central Wisconsin Friday evening dropping large hail and causing wind damage.

Between 6 and 7 pm, the storm dropped quarter to half dollar-sized hail from the south side of Eau Claire, through the Fall Creek area, to north of Augusta. Damage was also reported in the Oseeo Area. Strong Winds damaged a storage shed at Merchants Field in Osseo, downed power poles and trees were reported in Osseo. A funnel clound was reported northeast of Osseo just before 7 pm. The National Weather Service will be surveying damage reports today around West Central Wisconsin.
